Description

Chinese Medicine is among the oldest healing practices in the world and incorporates meditative lifestyle practices including qi gong, deep breathing, and ancient herbal remedies. Do you have unresolved pain or discomfort? Are you just looking for something mild to handle stress? Chinese Medicine may be the answer for you. Dr. Noiade, LAc. has been helping people for over 20 years using Chinese Medicine, including acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine. Dr. Noiade, LAc. can help you determine whether acupuncture, a simple health counseling session or a gentle, natural herbal remedy might be your best option. This medicine incorporates a unique whole medical system and is based on the concept that stress and illness result from disruption in the flow of qi, and imbalance in the forces of yin and yang. See our Testimonials page for evidence of the useful effects of this approach to healing the mind and body.

What is the process?

Please plan for approximately 90 minutes for your first session. Sessions following will be approximately 45 minutes. Sessions are generally once/week, but will be determined during your first appointment, as each person is unique and may need fewer sessions to accomplish agreed-upon goals.

What is Chinese Herbal Medicine?

In China, people have been using herbal medicine to address a wide variety of disorders and conditions for thousands of years. The herbs are composed of roots, bark, flowers, seeds, fruits, leaves, branches and minerals which have been conveniently packaged in pill form in most cases. There are over 500 Chinese herbs which are used for medicinal purposes. It is important to consult a professional to be sure that you are using the right herbs from the best source to gain the full benefit for your personal physical constitution. Atara Noiade, DAOM, has been in practice since 2002 and is state licensed and fully certified in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine(NCCAOM), the recognized commission for Chinese Medicine in the U.S.
